Upcoming remote-VCI (J-ReX) update
On April 1st, an update will be released for the Remote VCI (J-ReX). This update introduces multiple LED status colors and improved alerts, making it easier for workshop users to instantly understand the current status.
From this release onwards, the Remote VCI (J-ReX) will visually communicate the ticket status using multiple LED colors. Existing indicators remain unchanged, while new colors provide clearer information about the current process and any required actions.
LED status colors
🟢 Flashing green: powered on (existing)
🔵 Solid blue: updating (existing)
🟣 Solid purple: ticket in progress (new)
🔴 Solid red: ticket cancelled (new)
🟢 Solid green: ticket completed (new)
🟠 Flashing orange: action required (new)
The “action required” status” is triggered when an operator clicks the bell icon next to the customer’s name, indicating that input from the workshop is needed.
Improved action required status
When action is required: the alert sound will now repeat every 30 seconds instead of playing only once.
Het geluid stopt wanneer de gebruiker op de terugknop van de Remote VCI (J‑ReX) drukt, of de operator reageert via het Customer Portal.
The benefits
✓ Immediately recognize the status of their session
✓ Continue working without constantly checking their screen
✓ React faster when their input is required
